A Vintage Period Original Single Draw Officer of the Watch Marine / Military Model Signaling Telescope.

24.25 Inches / 615 mm long when fully deployed.

Signed Lawrence & Mayo Ltd London on the Draw.

* With the unusual feature of a Tinted Eyepiece Filter / Shutter, working and undamaged, as shown.*

A superb quality Telescope, it will date to the early 20th Century.

Nickel Plated Brass with a Leather Binding and End Cap to the Metal Barrel.

The Objective Lenses have only very minor signs of age and use ( no mold or fungus ), as shown clearly, the slight deposits shown have no influence on the view in use.

* Focuses easily and precisely giving a clear, sharp and powerful image in use, its magnification strength is surprisingly good.*

I have had this Telescope apart and inspected it internally, all is in superb order with only very minor signs of age and use.
All the other Lenses are clean, present and correct, no cracks or chips and nothing noticeably worn.* All the Threaded Components run well on clean threads and tighten properly, no issues at all.*

The Leather Binding shows only minor surface signs of age and use, it is intact and firmly in place with a good strong Seam.

The End Cap has a compromised Seam as shown but still works well.

The Barrel itself has no structural issues, no movement, no dents.

Both Ends are strong with no movement, the Sun / Rain shade is in good order working firmly and smoothly.

The Draw again has minimal signs of age and use, it is a good friction fit, moving smoothly and firmly to focus with only extremely minor sideways play at the Joint when fully extended. A good quality collectable and working Period Telescope.
