This is a rare pair of binoculars to find on this side of the Atlantic. Produced in the sixties with fully coated optics, a light weight body and one of the widest  fields of sight (at 11 degrees). This particular pair is in excellent shape mechanically and in ok condition optically. As can be expected due to age, there are a few specks of dust and small dirt stains inside the lenses – mostly on the front ones -, but these blemishes don’t interfere with the viewing. There are no scratches on the glasses and collimation is perfect. Cosmetically, the body sports several tiny dings, peeled off paint in a few places and some bad scratching or corrosion on the fascias (all shown in the pics).

The views are truly wide, very crisp and clear at the centre, degrading slightly at the edges with some blur and curvature, but still very enjoyable in that they give you those lovely expansive landscape and nightsky sights. I have used these binos a lot for Milky Way and general astronomy viewing, but they’re also very very good for bird/nature watching, as they can focus at very close range (the 3D views at close range are spectacular) and the super-wide field makes it easy to “catch” birds or any other moving target. They’re also a breeze to carry around, very light for their size. The original caps are included (two of them attached to the body by an elastic band), but not the case or carrying strap, sorry. Please, look at ALL the pictures before you buy, they show the item’s condition quite well.

All in all, this is a lovely pair of fully working vintage binoculars and quite collectable at that. I’m sad to see them go and I hope they find a good owner. Serial # 83742. I will package carefully and safely with plenty of bubble wrap and cardboard.
