Showing signs of wear commensurate with age (Victorian?) but fully functioning and the optics are surprisingly good. These were clearly aimed at the quality and would have been expensive when new – the case appears to be kid with a silk lining. There is a working spring fastening and the hinged lid is wood-lined for rigidity. Carrying handle to outside of lid.
Worthy of a serious collector I think.
