Vintage Binoculars
A pair of old binoculars that might be military from WW1. They were bought with other items from circa 1917.
Heavy. Mainly made of metal – brass I presume.
Moss-green coloured coating to the area you hold. Lightly textured to allow a good grip.
Note that one of the eye-pieces looks to have been squashed somehow. It seems a very sturdy and strong object so unsure how this would have happened. I doubt it is the original/intended positioning.
There is some magnification when viewing, but I have not been able to get a fully focussed image – probably due to the squashed eye-piece.
No visible makers marks.
Approximately 12.75cm long and around 12cm at widest.
Lens diameter approximately 5cm measured to the inside.
Will be posted by economy 2nd class delivery within the UK.
No case – just the binoculars.
