Vintage Carl Zeiss Jena Dekarem 10×50 binoculars, withleather case. They are serial numbered5100483, which I believe dates them to 1979. The focus, central bridge action, and diopter all move freely andsmoothly. They give a good, clear image,free from double vision and distortion. The optics are scratch and fungus free, and generally in cleancondition. There is one small starshaped blemish under the left objective lens, which could be a spot of lensseparation, although doesnt affect the image quality. Cosmetically, there is a dent to the metalplate near the work multi, and a little paint loss to the metal fittings. The case has minor external marking.
