Up for sale is a pre WWll Carl Zeiss Jena Aseros Telescope. Serial number 51250. It comes with its original brown leather case with carrying strap. Length of 53cm. Width of 6cm. 4-20x magnification. Weight without case of about 1.8kg. I’m not sure if this was military related or not but from research, I think these were made between 1920 and 1939. Cosmetically, still pretty good after all these years. There are a few odd marks on the barrel which I think may be a surface substance and I think may clean off. It’s hard to tell with the optics. They look ok as far as I can see but may benefit from cleaning internally should you wish. It has a large zoom ring and a smaller focusing ring which both function perfectly. Leather case is still in fairly good condition with some general signs of age/wear. So in all, a lovely old Carl Zeiss Telescope that is possibly a little hard to find these days.
