Pair of vintage binoculars with case and all four original lens caps. One side is marked “OPTIMUM” by J. Patience Ltd coated optics and the other side is marked 12 X 50 magnification (262 feet at 1000 yards) number 5323. Our best guess on their age is they were bought late 60’s or early 70’s, but can’t confirm this.There are in exceptionally good condition, having been stored in their case with caps on. Think they were taken along on a few clay pigeon shoots but otherwise rarely used. They have clean optics and a good clear view with no fogging on the lenses, focusing is good and works well. The case is generally good, but the leather strap has broken on both sides. There is no neck strap included with the binoculars this is missing, and there is a small mark to the side near the 12 X 50 engraving, possibly knocked against something.
