The objective lenses are the ones at the opposite end to the eyepieces and are really important for light gathering, which matters particularly at dusk and dawn when wildlife is at its most active. To help with the low light, the Vistrons have an additional silver coating on the oprtics for bright, sharp images.They are 100% waterproof and also hydrogen filled to prevent condensation and fogging. This is a great feature for keen watchers who don’t want to be limited by the weather conditions. The Vistron’s will take a heavy downpour in teir stride and will also not worry about a dunk in a stream. They can be washed under to tap at the end of the day, if they have got particularly dirty. It is also a bonus for anyonme using them near the sea, as they can be rinsed off after use, to get rid of any salt residue.The twist up eyecups are very usefuel for ease of viewing, as they help with eye relief when viewing with or without glasses. On a bright, sunny day, when wearing sunglasses, simply twist the caps down and view as normal, if the sun goes in, then just twist them back up and they fit perfectly to the eyes for comfortable viewing. This also works well with users who want to keep their spectacles on when using the binoculars. The eyesight correction wheel on the right hand barrel, is great for adjusting the dioptre, as once set, it remains fixed until it is changed again; just focus the binos as usual and then shut the left eye and turn the wheel until the image is absolutely pin sharp and thats it.The Viking Vistron’s will also be focussed to 1.5metres, making them extremely versatile. Ideal for viewing insects or anything that is just a bit too small to see properly with the naked eye and the edge to edge quality of the optics, gives excellent colour rendition and fine detail. They are really comfortable to hold and come with a carry case, strap and caps.
