FOR SALE:
This very large antique telescope is fully original, and dates from around 1890. It is made by Dollond, and is named ‘The Outlook’ and is numbered ‘9298.’
It is a rare model, and doesn’t come up for sale very often. It is in its original leather case and has the separate carrying strap which covers both front and rear lenses. It has two mounting points which enable it to be mounted onto a tripod. The adjusting mechanism is slightly temperamental, slipping now and then but it does work to fully extend the tubes back and forth. The length fully extended is 126cm.
The imaging is perfect, and focuses extremely clearly.
