This classic Newtonian telescope collects much more light due to its 150mm aperture compared to a small refrator with only 50mm free aperture. Not only nebulae and galaxies show more details but also the moon and planets can be seen at higher resolution.

The mount and the tripod carry the telescope tube. The starscope mount is a german equatorial one. The tracking is being done by the RA axe.
