This smallest telescope in our TS Photo line is the ultimate travel Apo and offers all characteristics of a professional apochromatic refractor. Very good color correction, fine crafted mechanical systems and compact dimensions make the Photoline 60 the ideal “grab & go” telescope for rich field observation and astro photography.

Fields of use — Rich field observation: With suitable 2″ eyepieces, a true field of up to 7 can be achieved — Astro photography with very wide fields. With the TSFlat2, even full size cameras can be used — Highly corrected spotting scope for birding, nature observation and astronomy — High-end finder or guiding scope
Apochromatic doublet lens with FPL53 element by Ohara (Japan) Regardless its high speed, the lens offers an image free of chromatic abberations. Even at 120x magnification, no color fringing is visible. The air spaced doublet is fully multi coated for a bright and contrasty picture.
Exceptional mechanical system The Photoline 60 Apo offers all advantages known from bigger Apos. A CNC machined OTA and its high quality Rack & Pinion focuser devote it for the demanding astrophotographical purpose. Even heavier accessories like 2″ eyepieces or CCD cameras are held rigidly.
The 2″ Rack & Pinion focuser
This 2″ CNC focuser is optimized for photography and accepts payload up to approx. 4 kgs. The 2″ receptacle can be screwed off; now you have a M54 thread accepting the TS photo corrector directly. So the whole image train can be screwed.
Focusing and drawtube bearing are decoupled. The adjustment is done by a rack & pinion system which prevents slipping even under higher loads. Additionally, the drawtube can be locked for longer integration times without focus shift.
Useful transport bag (included)
The nylon transport bag with pre-cut foam inlay protects telescope and accessories against shocks and dust. It is very suitable to carry the Apo in your hand luggage during airline travelling. It offers enough space for accessories like diagonals, eyepieces or corrector. Its external dimensions are 48 x 14.5 x 79 cm.

For imaging, a corrector is necessary; otherwise the picture is not sharp across the whole field. We offer two correctors dedicated for this telescope. Both are listed in the accessories section below.
TSRED279 – Photoline 2″ 0.79x Reducer / corrector
Reduces the focal lengths from 330 to 260 mm and raises the aperture ratio from f/5.5 to an impressing f/4.3. Digiscoping is possible even under twilight conditions and astro imaging becomes a great experience. Even extended Nebula regions can be captured in great depth. DSLR cameras with APS-C sensors and CCD camera with sensor diameters up to approx. 30 mm are illuminated without vignetting.
TSAPO60-F – TS corrector without altering the focal length
Screws directly into the focuser and offers a fully corrected field diameter of 40 mm.
