Teleskop-ServiceLead-managed by TS, this high quality Photoline triplet apochromat of the with an FPL53 ED element has been designed to be an optimal travelling scope.Even at highest magnifications, the image is kept free of false colour and has a high grade of correction. The fast f/6 system is not only short and compact; it also gives the short exposure times astro photographers want. Optically and mechanically, it can be compared with the famous Lomo systems. Photographic use: The large back focus of 138 mm gives sufficient space for flatteners, the short focal length allows for large fields of view, the high focal ratio of f/6 makes short exposure times possible.These are all points in favour for photographic work, but the little weight and the compact dimensions also demand only a lightweight mount, which is always an advantage when travelling.For guiding, the use of a finder scope or an off-axis guider is recommended, as the weight of a guiding telescope with guide scope rings would annul the advantage of the TLAPO804 in weight. Suitable accessories can be found in the recommendations section at bottom.The improved 2″ Crayford focuser with threaded connection:With its 1:11 dual speed transmission and precisely crafted mechanical system, this focuser holds even heavier accessories up to approx. 10 kgs. The reinforced ball bearings prevent bending and tilting. Accessories can be rotated by 360.Many astrophotographers prefer a screw connection of camera and accessories. The 2″ receptacle can be screwed off and replaced by the adapter TSFOC-M48 (see recommendations section). The adapter offers the M48 connection and allows for a completely threaded connection of correctors for astrophotography.When using as a telephoto lens for daylight photography, it might be necessary to use neutral densitiy filters instead of the non-implemented diaphragm, but in general, the apochromat with its multi-coatings is very well suited for these purposes. Visual use: With three eyepieces (or two eyepieces and a Barlow lens), the entire reasonable magnification range can be covered.
