A leather covered brass 3 draw telescope by Thomas Harris & Son London
It is sold for repair or spares
Thomas Harris & Son were Opticians to the Royal Family and were based at 52 Great Russell Street & Oxford Street in London
Fully extended the vintage telescope measures 28 1/4 inches long / 720mm with a main lens diameter of 1 3/4 inches or 45mm
The condition is fair; there is a chip in the main lens and I can’t focus it.
The eye piece draw section also pulls out completely if you pull too hard. You can screw it back in, but the same thing happens.
So at best it needs attention and please be aware.
It would be a super addition to any collection, excellent display piece, or authentic period prop.
