I bought this used and it has provided me with fantastic views of Jupiter and moons, as well as plenty of deep sky objects. However, the worm gear in the mount has now worn down to the point where it will not lock in position, and there are several knobs missing.I also won’t be able to answer any technical questions, as I am a newcomer to astronomy and have realised now I need to buy from new!I would love to be able to spend the time to fix this as the scope itself still works, and I’m gutted I haven’t yet had chance to spot Saturn yet. However, a lack of knowledge on mounts and a second child due tomorrow means I just don’t have the time or cash to fully restore itWorth a look to appreciate the size, and would be perfect for someone who knows a little more about mounts, or just needs a good tube and doesn’t necessarily need the mountCollection only due to weight and sizeComes with 2 standard lenses, starting bid of 29.99 should suit someone out there!Any questions, please let me know.
