All items are sold in good faith to support Julias House Childrens Hospice. Julia’s House is the only childrens hospice charity in Dorset dedicated to helping life-limited children and their families across the county and in South Wiltshire.
The cost of care:
It will cost around 4.6m to run Julias House in 2015, yet we receive just 6% of our total annual funding from the government. This compares very poorly with the national average of 17% government funding for childrens hospices and 32% for adult hospices. Our NHS income has been frozen for seven years, a considerable real terms devaluation against the rising cost of providing our care services. In terms of government funding Julias House is now one of the worst-funded hospices in the UK.
We rely on public fundraising and donations for 94 per cent of what we need to raise each year. Fundraising may be tough, its not as tough as the challenges facing Julias House families every day.
Every effort is made to describe an item as honestly and accurately as possible using all the information available to us. Many items will have been researched using online information and the actual history of an item maybe unknown.
As our eBay sales are operated entirely separately from our shop sales, items are not available for viewing at the shops before purchase.

We operate 7 days a week (except Bank Holidays) and our hours of trading are Monday to Saturday 9am 5pm and Sunday 10am 4pm. Although we are occasionally able to answer queries outside these times it is not normally possible. We will endeavour to reply to you as soon as possible the next morning.
Although listings may run into the Bank holidays we will not be able to complete transactions or reply to enquiries etc, until the following day.
If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, please contact us as soon as possible so we can try to resolve the problem. Should there be an issue with a purchase we always do our best to resolve them fairly and amicably directly with the customer; however if this does not prove possible, then eBay Resolution Centre will be used to determine an outcome.
PAYMENT
We only accept PayPal as an online payment method to enable us to follow eBay’s Buyers and Seller’s protection policy. We ask that payment is made within 2 days from the end of the listing via PayPal and we will only ship to your registered PayPal address; please check your address before making payment. For Collection only sale items, payment can be made online by PayPal or at the time of collection by cash, credit card or debit card. Please notify us if your intended collection date will be more than 2 days from the end of listing.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
We will despatch items within 48 hours of receiving full and cleared payment.
Our shipping rates include postage, packaging and handling. Most items will be shipped using Hermes signed for courier service and are automatically insured for our customers peace of mind. As this is a signed for service, please ensure a member of the household is available to sign for the delivery. Please check the condition of your delivery thoroughly before signing. We always obtain proof of posting for all items sent.
Items of a significantly high value will be sent using the Royal Mail Special Delivery service. All postage is to UK addresses only. We do not post to overseas locations. No postage is refundable.
Should an item be lost in transit a full refund will be given only when the Courier or Royal Mail declares that the item is lost and issues compensation. Please allow time for investigation.
Should an item be damaged we will require photographic evidence of damage to the parcel and contents which we can then present to Royal Mail or the Carrier for their own investigation.
We will give discount on P&P for multiple purchases wherever possible.
RETURNS
Returns Policy: We do our very best to ensure that all our items are as described and in the condition stated but should you need to return the purchased item to us, you are welcome to within 7 days upon receipt. All return postage costs are at the expense of the purchaser unless the item is faulty, damaged or not as described. In the event of a return, please contact us through eBay for full return instructions and our address prior to sending. All returned items must be in the condition they were received in and unused.
