SWIFTbinoculars were the top Japanese made brand in the U.K. in the1960`s, 70`s & 80`s. Selling in top department stores,independent photographic shops and opticians, they were available onmost high streets.  
Thislistingis for a very late porroprism SWIFT binocular from about 15 yearsago.TheSWIFT COUGAR 10 x 50WAis a fairly traditional wide angle design and was probably one of thelast porroprism SWIFTS to be marketed in the U.K. It features arubberised body, rubber fold down eyecups and a tripod socket in thelower hinge. Optical performance is very pleasing comparing veryfavourably with much more exepensive glass, and at just 768 grams thelightweight handling is a big advantage. ThisCOUGARcomes with avery good miranda branded neoprene neckstrap,it`soriginal `SWIFT`softcase with attached strap, objectivelens caps and one SWIFT ocular cap.Anew microfibre lens cloth is supplied.
