Swift Audubon 8.5×44 Binoculars – A Bit Scruffy And Need Slight Attention
A Swift Audubon 8×44 Mk1 binocular in slightly grubby condition and needing an external clean.
Despite the external condition of this item, the optics are actually okay with no fungus or other major nasties, and the collimation is correct.
As you can see the vulcanite covering has bits missing. There are dings around the front objectives. The painted surfaces need a clean as they are sticky/dusty. Futhermore one of the wind-out caps (for spectacle wearers) is a bit loose and will need to be re-attached properly (it doesnt sit straight, but it doesnt actually affect operation).
We have three out of the four caps for this. It is not supplied with its original case, but we will provide a modern soft case for it.
All in all, a useable binocular in challenged physical condition – the sort of thing you wouldnt mind taking out in the woods and wont worry too much about them picking up another ding.
