SUPERB USSR 6 X 24 ” KOMZ ” WIDE ANGLED BINOCULARS ( MINT ) ____________________________________________________ This auction is for a Superb pair of binoculars produced at the Kazan Optical — Mechanical Factory located approximately 450 miles East of Moscow in the 1970’s These are a real collectors item being perhaps the shortest 6 x24 ever produced and also have a incredible field of view of 11.4 degrees. These are very desirable ” pocket glass ” with a nice wide clear sharp image which are no longer in production  The cosmetic condition is exceptional they have a deep Black Lacquer finish which looks perfect, also they have the original case marked Made in USSR which is as NEW and both case strap andlanyard are also in good condition. The serial number is 7402622 and this fine pairof Russian binoculars may well be described as being very close to being in Mint condition throughout  ( sun light has shown bright marks)and the paint is not damaged.. The optical condition is superb with no damage whatsoever to the lenses / prism’swith the result that an excellent image is produced , which is very bright and clear alsothe optics have violet tinged coatings which are unmarked. Reverse viewing revealsa very clean interior with no signs of dust / fungus or other debris. All focusing functions are smooth and positive and the collimation is correct ensuringa stress free situation during extended viewing. These are a beautiful pair of lightweightbinoculars ( approximately 490 grams ) and suitable for many outdoor activities and I show a brief specification as follows: ( thanks to a Binofan page )  Quote.
