This is a stunning Original Victorian Marine Telescope with Leather case from W. Ottoway.
In good used condition. The leather is all bound tightly and the telescope operates really well. The eye and lens covers are in perfect condition as is the original leather strap. As you can see from the pictures, the leather has a really warm glow, as does the brass.
The eyepiece is stamped with the words ‘Victorian Marine Telescope 1915’. Both lenses are clear and very clean.

This is a fantastic object and is owned by my father who was in the Merchant Navy. He has been an avid collector of maritime objects for all of his life.
