This is a fabulous and rare 3 draw telescope made by Hammersley of Islington, London in its original hard leather case. It is relatively large with a 2.25 inch visible diameter object lens but incredibly light as it is of aluminium construction – the actual weight of the telescope is just 724 grammes. It might have been made for use by the crew of airships and balloons but I have no actual evidence to support this. The lenses are all completely clean, clear and undamaged and the view is really clear as I have tried to demonstrate with my through-the-lens shot. There is no damage at all other than slight wearing of the blackened finish of the first draw and very light signs of use elsewhere and the case also is undamaged and in great condition. The quality of build is outstanding and it has the slide-on protective cover for the object lens and the rotating eye lens cover. It measures just over 10 inches when closed and over 30 inches open and, closed up in the case it is 11 inches long and 3 inches maximum diameter. This is a collectable rare telescope that is also a joy to use and would be ideal for deer stalking and other outdoor pursuits.

Please note that the UK postal service will not accept a PO Box number address for “Signed For” post. We are happy to ship anywhere in the world so, if the P&P for your country is not listed, please request a quotation before bidding.

We have not included any charges related to the importation into your country – this is your responsibility. We always declare the final selling price as the value of the goods on customs declarations..

Guarantee

You may return the item for any reason at your own expense within 14 days from receipt for a full refund of the purchase price. In addition, we will refund the purchase price and the return postage if the item has a material defect that was not described or obvious from the pictures of the item, or if the item is significantly different from the description given.
