We’re often reviewed against other brands such as Steiner, Leica, Canon, Celestron, Bushnell, Nikon, etc. and we punch above our price. BBC Sky at Night voted us first and third in their 10×50 group test against sets 3-4x the cost! These binoculars are perfect for astronomy but also great for a house view a view, I can watch people skiing ten miles away from my house with them!25×100 means 25x magnification with 100mm lenses. They gather masses of light so you’ll see some very faint starts indeed. At 25x the views of the moon are stunning. If looking at distant hills you’ll be amazed how powerful they are, high power only makes sense with big lenses otherwise you just get a dull low resolution image. Many manufacturers cut corners and make binoculars as cheaply as possible. We use BAK-4 glass, others use inferior BAK-7 and make them sub-size. Avoid anything with Ruby “night vision” lenses, they’re junk and well below our minimum level of optical coating. These use our level IV lens coatings, the top specification! They have five layers of coating on every air-glass boundary all the way through the binocular. This gives excellent light transmission and super sharp images of stars or scenery. Currently on sale, normally 331.79These binoculars have foldable rubber eye cups, perfect for spectacle wearers.Binoculars come with a hard case, built in tripod mount, cleaning cloth and lens caps.SPECIFICATIONSMagnification25xObjective lenses100mmPrismsBAK-4Coatingslevel IVBody Length46cmFinishrubber armourField of view2.5 degreesExit pupil diameter4mmWeight4.5kgTripod mountableBuilt in bracketSee the buyer’s guide for an explanation of these terms.Read customer reviews of our binoculars. Our 15x70s were BBC Sky at Night magazine’s “what to buy for Christmas” choice due to their unbeatable value and superb optics. We came 1st and 3rd in Sky at Night’s 10×50 group test.
