These Steiner 10×26 Skyhawk 3.0 compact binoculars are just under 16months old. I got them in late December 2014 as a goodwill replacement by theGerman manufacturers for a pair which were giving a double image. Shortly after getting the new Steiner binos I inherited a pair of Zeiss10x25 with a single hinge, and found I preferred the Zeiss single-hinge actionto that of the double hinge of the Steiner. The latter also have swivellingeye-cups, which are excellent once adjusted, but are somewhat fiddly for, in mycase, a seventy-five year old!Consequently I have been using the Zeiss pair, and the Steiners havebeen very little used and are in excellent condition. The binoculars come with an instruction booklet, case, neckstrap,and rubber cups for all four lenses. The exit lens cups clip on, while theeyecups are currently separate, but are easy to attach to the neckstrap if youprefer them dangling while using the bins.The case has a loop so you can thread it onto a belt, but is notdesigned to have its own strap.There is also a spare set of eyecups, which Steiner included when makingthe replacement.Please note that in the Item Specifics I do not know what the MPN refers to – it came up automatically.I am not sure whether the guarantee, supposedly for ten years on a newpair of Steiners, is transferable when the binoculars are sold, but willenclose the Service Delivery Note which came with them. Steiner claimed thatthe old binoculars had received damage impact and were not covered by the previousguarantee but they replaced them nevertheless!
