This is quite a battered old spotting scope, hence the low price. Still, the lenses and prism are correctly aligned and the zoom works perfectly. So, viewing is ok apart from the scratched area on the front lens (pls see pics), which shows up as a dim fuzzy patch when looking at light even surfaces, the sky, etc. I have used and loved this scope (with its scratched lens) for many years. At full magnification it captures the rings of Saturn, moons of Jupiter, comets, nebulae and other deep sky objects. It is also great for bird and nature watching. This scope might be of interest to astronopmy beginners, young people wanting to introduce themselves cheaply in the world of astronomy, or for vintage optics collectors. It comes with standard tripod thread.
