Skywatcher Evostar 90 EQ2 refractor telescope and accessoriesThis is a 90mm aperture, 900mm focal length (focal ratio f10) astronomical telescope. Being a refractor it can also be used for daytime terrestrial targets (but DO NOT look at the sun without an appropriate filter)This is perfect for anyone considering astronomy from around age 10 to 100! It was a much loved birthday present last year which has given me inspiration to splash out on a larger one. I would happily keep this to use alongside, however space and money are now tight so I will regretfully have to let it go. It has always been kept with dust caps on and all optics are A1 clean and clear. It has been well cherished and in perfect condition. I have just cleaned the aperture using Baader wonder fluid and cloth…see photos.For the price you get what you would get in the usual new bundle:
– optical tube,
– star diagonal,
– 25mm and 10mm eyepieces giving 36x and 90x magnification respectively,
– 2x Barlow lens with camera adapter, this allows you to double the above magnifications,
– equatorial mount with slow motion controls,
– finderscope
– lightweight tripod and accessory trayI am also throwing in a RA motor drive. The 10mm and 25mm eyepieces are brand new and unopened as I am putting in the ones that came with my new scope. They have not been out their bags.90mm aperture is more than enough to start seeing some great things. With this scope I have seen:- moons and equatorial cloud belts of Jupiter,
– Great Red Spot of Jupiter and polar regions in good seeing conditions
– Just about every conceivable lunar feature (although the American flag is not quite visible!)
– Saturn and it’s largest moon Titan. Rings of Saturn and the Casini division within the rings in good seeing conditions.
– Venus in it’s various stages
– Mars, just about making out the polar regions. 
– M31 Adromena galaxy
– Orion NebulaMany more glaxies and nebulas are likely visible if you take the scope to a good, dark sky site.Happy to answer any questions or invite you round for a look. I also have a few upgraded pieces for sale with it so just ask if you’re interested.
