Ross Stepsun 12×50 Binoculars
These were originally owned by my Grandad and they were well cared for and stored in a nice dry house.He had them for many years probably from new though I am unsure of the exact age.This particular model are Porro prism II style. These were incredibly well made high end Binoculars for their age with Coated lenses.Ross Of London have made some great optics in their time and it’s hard to find anything made in the UK for an equivalent price now.They are still in great working condition. Unfortunately there are some areas where the paint has chipped etc. This can be seen pretty clearly from the photos.They could probably benefit from a good clean. I am unsure of the best technique for this so I will leave that to whoever wins the Auction.Good leather case in excellent condition for age with a felt lining which is clean and soft. Both straps feel pretty solid and should last if looked after.
