Rollei7x42 binoculars in excellent conditionIunderstand that these Rollei 7×42 fixed-focus binoculars were madeunder licence in Germany. They were based on the British Avimo 7x42made in a rubber- armoured form during the 1980’s for British troops,police and NATO forces. The Rollei version was apparently intendedfor civilian use with the attractive silver finish although theystill have the military graticule. This particular set are inexcellent condition both optically and cosmetically. The lenses areclear and retain their coating. The binoculars come with their rubbereye cups and covers, the objective end armour, and an original Rollei marked neck strap. They are inscribed Rollei 7×42 Made in Germany onthe side and have the serial number 901989 around one ocular lens.
