Restored Zeiss 7×50 blc U-boat (U-Bootglas) binoculars& oak presentation caseThese binoculars are in excellent restoredcondition. The original smooth grey/green paint had been poorly overpaintedblack some time ago and had recently been partially and badly scraped off perhaps with the intention to repaint. All the olddamaged paint has now been carefully and properly removed back to bare metal, acid etch primer coated,and then sprayed with a colour matched to the original paint remaining inplaces under the rubber armour. The lenses and prisms have been checked andcleaned. The focus screws are free and can re-adjusted as desired. Viewing isexcellent. The right hand prism cover plate is stamped 7×50 40077 blc. The rubber armour and Benutzer appear to be amixture of original and very good replacements. Replacement rubbereye cups and retainers have been ordered as the originals were missing. These will be fittedbefore posting and additional photographs will be uploaded before the listingends.The binoculars come with a very well made andimpressive solid oak presentation case with dovetailed corners. The lid ispainted with the well know eagle and the symbol below (covered to comply withebay rules), along with U-Boot Fernglass7x50 blc. It has rubber carrying handles and a metal clasp. The inside hasfelt covered rests. Although this is obviously not an original item, it isextremely well made and is an ideal complement to go with a good pair ofrestored binoculars. Would international bidders please enquire for anestimate of postage cost. Please note for absolute clarity, that in addition to the honestdescription made in good faith, the photographs form an integral part of thedescription and it is incumbent upon the buyer to seek further information ifthere is any uncertainty about age, condition or functionality.  Allparcels will be sent with full insurance and requiring a signature upondelivery.  The full purchase value will be quoted on customsdocumentation and all import duties will be the sole responsibility of thebuyer.
