Hi Welcome to my auction for this rare item and accessories,This consists of
– Carl Zeiss Jena Jenoptem 8X30W binoculars DDR made, purchased in 1979, with strap
– Original Instruction manual.
– Original Case
– Original Lifetime guarantee
– Original Receipt
– Spare strapThese were bought brand new by my grandfather and have been in dry, dust free storage for over 25 years. Note that I am not a binoculars expert, but will give the best and most accurate description I can. Please see the pics for condition too. The condition is as follows –

These seem to be in excellent condition and hardly used at all, with no obvious marks on the black casing anywhere.
The operation of the dials is tight.
All the white printed markings seem very bright and obvious, without any signs of wear. See pic and the printed markings are DDR, Carl Zeiss, Jenopter and on the underside of the unit, some lines to align the focus wheel (?).
I’ve had a good look through the lenses and they seem extremely clear. I’ve had a good look at the lenses themselves and I cannot see any marks, scratches, dust or fogging. The view through these units is excellent.
The black strap looks original (don’t know) and is in very good condition, with no obvious signs of wear.

In very good condition for age. Appears complete. Although its been folded, there are no edge or corner scuffs of major note. There is some biro lines either side of section 1.0. The paper has not experienced any real yellowing over time and is in a good white – cream colour. See pics.- Original Case
Appears to be in excellent condition, with very minor signs of wear on the holes near the strap and also some of the inside felt is slightly coming off the inside entry point of the case. Smells of leather! Closing mechanism works perfectly and has no scratches or signs of wear – feels tight to close and open. There appears to be no creases of the leather from use. All stitching appears in brilliant condition, no picks or pulls. – Original Lifetime guarantee
In very good condition and shows reg number 137801. Very clear and paper/card thick and stable.
