A very early Busch Roja binocular in excellent condition. A quaint and unusual design with cylindrical prism housings and unusual neck-strap securing method.
There is a small chip out of one eye-cup on the shoulder region, but otherwise these glasses are in very, very good order. The binoculars are marked with the serial no. 0954 on the upper inside hinge boss. It is remarkable to think that this instrument is over 110years old ?, judging the condition they could be from the 1960’s. Everything is in very good order AND THE OPTICAL performance is amazingly very, very good. A bright clear and stereoscopic image, that is slightly dusty, but I’ll leave the next owner to decide as to whether cleaning is desired.
In 20 years of collecting these are the oldest and probably very best condition early Busch prismatic glasses that I have seen.
Selling because of Downsizing to move my collection overseas.
