The strong body is protected with a solid, green rubberarmouring the binocular, which can easily be handled when wearing gloves. Toassure all-time functionality we have added a Hydrophobic coating on allexposed lenses rain, fog, snow, or even your own breath will no longertrouble your viewing. Unique Hydrophobic Coating Water droplets on a lens havea negative influence on the ability of light to enter the objective lens. Byusing a unique water-repellent coating on all outer lenses we make water dropsbead into small, deformed droplets. The deformed droplets cause lessdistortion and slide more easily off the lens. Your binocular or spottingscope remains fully functional even in case of rain, snow, fog or condensingbreath. The hydrophobic coating can be found on all PENTAX DCF SP seriesbinoculars. Twist Up Eye Cups Hybrid Aspherical Ocular Lenses Edge-to-edgesharpness is a vital element to comfortable viewing. To achieve this weutilise aspherical lens elements in our eyepieces. This is a specially-shapedlens design that reduces aberration to a minimum. In our SP and ED models weuse hybrid-Aspherical lens elements that have the additional advantage ofsuperior functionality while being light-weight and compact. Twist-Up Eye CupsThe binoculars have large, multi-stop, twist-up eyecups that can easily beadjusted to your desired position. They can be fixed in 2 to 4 positions,depending on the binocular model. And combined with a large-diameter eyepiece(ocular lens) and comfortable eye-relief, it allows any user, even thosewearing spectacles, to find a comfortable setting. The Pentax DCF SP also hasa lockable diopter, this means no more accidentally knocking this off yourpreferred setting, with the lockable diopter adjuster. It is always where youwant it to be.
