That’s because the focusing range begins at a startling 50 cm, and the durable rubber reinforced housings make the Papilio range a true friend of nature. The Papilio is a unique binocular. Of course it’s a fine and compact companion on nature trails and holidays, but when your interests are flowers, insects, birds or butterflies the Papilio turns out to be an indispensable instrument. The Pentax Papilio allows close focus to 50cm.

Edge-to-edge sharpness is a vital element to comfortable viewing. To achieve this we utilise aspherical lens elements in our eyepieces. This is a specially shaped lens design that reduces aberration to a minimum. High Quality BaK4 Prism A prism is a complex optical element necessary to correct the image the right way up and reduce overall length of the binocular. In a prism, light travels through complicated angles and so the quality of the prism glass used is of significant importance. PENTAX uses exclusively high-index BaK4 prisms, made of very pure Barium glass.Rubber Covered Body Provides Protection and GripThe compact design offers you comfort in handling with perfect weight balance.Twist-Up EyecupsThe binoculars have large, multi-stop, twist-up eyecups that can easily be adjusted to your desired position.
