Kindly note that I neither have experience or ability of binoculars to answer any technical question.I describe everything to the best of my ability and with honesty but would ask you to view all 12 photographs which in this instance form an important part of the description and condition report. This auction is for a pair of old binoculars which my research suggests that they are from the First World War.They are French and they have the makers details L.Petit Fabt Paris. They have their original strap. The metal sides to the small lens are raised,I do not know the technical term for this but I assume that the aim of this might well have been to afford some protection to the eyes.Aesthetically they are in quite good condition, there is some wear but nothing too serious. There is a small dent to the metal surround of one side. The lens appear to be working quite well although again I do not know exactly how they should be !Measurements are;Length 18cm (7 1/8 inches)
