For sale my trusted, much loved, Optolyth TBG80 HDF. 

Please note this is the top of the range version with High Definition (Flourite) Glass for superior optical performance. 

The eyepiece is the 30x wide angle lens which I always consider the best all round magnification for general birdwatching – especally seawatching – given its brightness and wide field of view.

I consider it to be in good used condition. It has been kept in a stay-on case all its life. The rubber armour body is has parted very slightly at a join in front of the focusing wheel but other than that the body is in excellent condition. The objective lens has about five  small specks which I have tried to show honestly in the photos – I would say in real life they do not appear as obvious as in the pic (can’t honestly remember how they happened but i imagine some gravel kicked up or something like that). They do not affect the optical performance in any way and the image is very clear, sharp and bright. The focusing wheel turns very smoothly, the tripod mount rotates and locks well and the tripod thread is as good as new.

I have set the starting price low to reflect the few points made above about condition so a chance to grab a top quality German made scope at a great price.
