An auction for a pair of binoculars by German firm Optolyth 8×40 with a rubber outer casing. Overall condition I would say is good (especially compared to some other examples on here….) the objective lenses have a few marks (which does not seem to affect the viewing) and the eyepieces have a little blemishing around the edge which may clean off with some expert attention. They come with eyepiece covers and the fold down eyepieces have permanent creases but do not seem to be perished (as is often the case apparently?)and a case BUT this seems to be a different brand-“Opticron” the bridge and Focus adjustment seems to be nice and smooth. The lens coating (which I have not entered as I am no expert!) seems to be a ‘rose-pink’ colour? When viewing something through these it is obvious (even to me!) that these are a quality pair of optics. Postage is a cost via RM special D tracked and insured for peace of mind all round.
