OPTOLYTH ALPIN 10×50 BINOCULARS(Relisted due to non-paying ‘buyer’)A pair of relatively rare German Optolyth Binoculars. They are in good used condition and produce a superb bright, clear image. There is no Fungus or haze in optical structure, a few cleaning marks exist on the front glass/inside/outside but will have zero effect on the viewing. Some specks are visible. The viewing is still excellent, I would say about Zeiss East standard, possibly better but that’s subjective! They are also very lightweight and easily held without excessive fatigue. The general condition is ‘used’: The Rubber Armour shows age related wear as does the paintwork (touched in). The Eyepieces have perished away but new one are still available. However, if you look at a couple of the images, I have included two Canon Rubber Viewfinder eye cups. If you look at the close up image, you will see the eyepiece has circles in the rubber. If you get a sharp knife or scalpel, you can cut out the rectangular section as stick them in the existing recess with whatever means you choose. It works! The Rubber is a bit thicker, so may not fold as easily as the genuine item. If you do this, when viewing, don’t push your eyes to close into the eyepiece as you will get dark shadows which will partly obstruct your viewing. Case included + front cap.
