Opticron HR60R Telescope including 30x HR 40815 Eyepiece Lens 

For sale here is an Opticron HR60R Telescope which comes complete with a 30x HR 40815 Eyepiece which I have used to great effect for birdwatching, for which this combination is ideally suited.

I have found that this combination is an excellent performer in good and half decent lighting conditions and is even perfectly usable in quite poor light. It is is only really bettered by ‘scopes with a larger objective lens in very poor light conditions. The draw back with those larger scopes is not only their price but also their weight so I have found the HR60 plus HR 40815 to be a first class compromise between performance, price and practicality. 

The HR60 was the predecessor to the superb HR66 currently sold by Opticron and is similarly constructed using high quality Japanese made optics. 
The ‘scope is in excellent condition with no scratches on the main objective lens or the eyepiece. The rubberised casing shows no obvious signs of heavy use and the ‘scope is supplied with a lens cap for the eyepiece.
The HR 40815 eyepiece gives 30x magnification in conjunction with the HR60 which in my opinion is ideal for birdwatching. Being from Opticron’s HR range this eyepiece gives not only high resolution optics but also works well in poor light conditions. 
Please note that the eyepiece is virtually new – I bought it quite recently as “New Old Stock” specifically to sell with the HR60R as I wish to keep my HR zoom for use with my new Opticron ‘scope – an HR66.
Please note the tripod seen in the photos is not included. 
If you are reasonably close you are more than welcome to come and see and test the HR60R prior to buying. We are located at postcode PR7 7EE which is about five minutes from the Junction of the M6, M61 and M65 motorways.
