Proud to present my Opticron 8×42 binoculars for auction. These are not new but they have that cared for gloss with very minor age related imperfections. They are optically superb and well collimated. These were compared to the top marque brands in their day. They can still hold their own even today and their clarity is astounding to most eye sights. Some prefer these retro to the latest bulky rubber 200+ incarnations. The leatherette with protective rubber surrounds feel good in most people hands. Both lightness and build quality is evident and they ooze refinements. They are a bit fiddly to set up and focus compared to the top 1000 pound makes. They come complete with a substantial leather pouch and caps but not the original lanyard. Cannot recommend these too highly for birdwatching but not so sure about astronomy. My packing costs reflect the effort I will make in secure packing and delivery. Thinking of spending 500+ pounds on a pair of binoculars?
