OPTICRONspottingscopes & binoculars have rightly gained a soundreputation for excellent optics and good build quality at realisticprices. If my memory is correct, OPTICRON started as a retailer backin the 1970`s, but then turned to selling their own brand of opticssourced from top Japanese optics factories.Thislisting is for an excellent vintageOPTICRON 60mmmetal bodied spotting scope. A lightweightmetal body and compact dimensions make this a genuine alternative tomodern travelscopes, and in my opinion at least, will opticallyout-perform the majority of similar sized plastic bodied chinesescopes.Thisone has an excellent 20-60x ZOOM eyepiece with rubber eyecup. This avery usefuleyepiece producing excellent clarity and brightness. Thescope and eyepiece are in excellent condition both virtuallyun-marked! I have used it as a `hide scope` linked with an OPTICRONhide clamp supplied with it!Thescope comes with a very good black vinyl case which may be theoriginal this has a double zip plus shoulder strap with pad.Defects:possiblysome tinyinternaldust specks;justa couple of minutemarksaround the scope body; thethreads holding the two hide clamp sections are worn and care needs tobe taken when screwing back to avoid cross threading.itake great care examining, using and describing the binoculars andscopes i sell, and always get a second opinion. however, i am not aprofessional and my description is based on my experience and honestassessment; most examples i sell are at least 35 years old and theremay be other defects…….also, please remember, everyone`s eyes aredifferent…..SPECIFICATION:OPTICRON20-60xZOOM60mmSPOTTING SCOPE andOPTICRONHIDE CLAMP;coatedoptics;made in japan;serialnumber 90561; scopeweight0.98kg;case0.27kg; hide clamp0.85kg.Thisscope will be thoroughly double wrapped & packed for thepurchaser and will be sent using a tracked service within the U.K.Carriage prices quoted are to mainland U.K. please contact me fora quote if you are non-mainland.Iwill also send WORLD WIDE using E Bay`s GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAMME, ifit is offered for this item for your country.Collectionis welcome.Paypalvery much preferred.Anexcellent compactvintage scope withzoom eyepiece whichwill comfortably out perform a lot of modern stuffand be more durable to boot!Greatfor birding and nature watching especially from a hide! Atthis price and in this condition it makes a lot of sense!Makeme a very very close offer if you wish!Anyquestions just ask I always respondIhave other good retro binoculars listed take a look I willcombine postage.Thankyou
