CARLZEISS MANUFACTURED NITSCHKE RATHENOW 1 GENIRA 8×30 GERMAN BINOCULARSThese binoculars have the words Nitschke Rathenow and the number 1 in a triangle on one side and Genira 8 x 30 on the other. They also have the words on the front hinge MADE IN GERMANY and the serial number 244992.I don’t know much about vintage binoculars but my research on the internet indicates they were made by Carl Zeiss. I have used them and they seem to work well, without any problems within the lenses. They dont have any real signs of wear. The hanging strap on the binoculars is in very good condition. The leather case is well made, but does have the expected signs of use, and about 5cm of the stitching has worn away on the bottom left hand edge.The approximate measurements of the case are 17xm x 13cm x 5.5cm, which the binoculars fit snuggly into.I personally inspect every item and want to assure you that I always offer the most accurate description possible of the items’ condition, and take photographs to illustrate it. Any major faults will be listed. Minor surface marks that would be consistent with age and use will not be mentioned unless they cause a problem to the item.Thanks for lookingPOSTAGE is always as close to cost as possible – if you purchase more than one of my items, I will make every effort to reduce the P&P as much as I can, so please wait for me to invoice you.
