           NIKON TROPICAL 7 X 50 IF. HP. WP.BINOCULARS VERY SCARCE  This auction if for anexcellent pair of 7 x 50 IF HP.WP , Binocular produced in Japan during the late 80s and are in aoutstanding condition.   The serial  number is 293580  and  hasa  Ross of London case which is very good.  The lanyard is as new and has the Nikon mark. The binocular carries thisinformation.      Left hand housing      7 x 50 7.3 deg                                                                                                                                                          Red Circular Disc  marked         ( 293580 )                                                                                                               Japan  The specification of these binoculars is .Field of view 7.3 deg  ( 128m /1000 m.APFOV 51 degWeight 1.425 kgs  and with an exit pupil of 7.1 mm and a twilight of factor 18.7 perform verywell in low light and poorweather conditions.  Also they areWaterproofed / Nitrogen purged and have the  High eye point or eye relief  design factor. The cosmetic condition isexceptional with only light paint loss and is indeed a creditto the previous owner. Thebodywork is as per the photographs with very small marks and apart from this they arein a wonderful condition The build quality of thisMarine binocular is superb in all respects and will I have no doubt still be a favourite for users and collectorsfor years ahead ( built like a tank ) but enjoyable in use especially with these fabulous opticsto hand. Optically this is were thesebinoculars really excel, the performance and quality of the image produced is outstanding withthe contrast  and definition quiteunbelievable.  The JapaneseTropical has been classifiedas one of the best binoculars produced during this era and wasspecifically designed for theMarine and Astronomy users and is still one of the highestperforming glasses availableeven in these times, and maybe one of the best porro,s currently on sale with Ebay . They do have the earlycoating system  and despite the morerecent improvement in coatings they do give true colours with no yellowish orblue tints.
