A Negretti & Zambra Brass Telescope R/256 ‘The MacLeod’

Used condition but overall OK – this is a project for a collector for a few reasons

The leather case is generally good with intact stitching and all components present – one securing strap for the carrying strap has become detached – the buckle still has its leather covering slightly damaged.
There is what appears to be insect damage (holes) at the base end over a 6cm sq area (see photograph) with further insect damage to one 10cm section of the carrying strap. The buckle here is rusty.

The body of the ‘scope is intact with 5 sections all firm and working normally
There is a brass cap for the objective lens. The eyepiece lens is damaged/cracked (see photograph) but all other lenses are intact though dusty.
There is some corrosion/staining on the second section but no pitting
There are some abrasions/possible staining on the black teather surround of the final section (again see photograph)
The eyepiece integral cover is present and working but the small metal lug for activation is missing

Despite these faults this is a very nice vintage instrument by a quality manufacturer
