Minolta Standard Extra Wide 8×40 Binoculars With Original Pouch, Caps and Strap.
For sale, Minolta 8×40 standard extra wide binoculars. My uncle originally bought them in Bournemouth in the late 1980s and they have only been used occasionally since. They are in very good pre owned condition. They were always kept with the lens caps on, in the original Minolta soft pouch when not in use.
The binoculars carry the serial number 1721988!the lenses are multi-coated and provide an extra wide 9.5 field of view.
I have checked the binoculars operation and the image can be focused cleanly with additional adjustment for eyesight on the right eyepiece. The focus and angle adjustment are silky smooth and the optics are clean and crisp. They come with the original four black Minolta lens caps and the Minolta pouch.
The binoculars are ideal for bird and wildlife watching or other outdoor pursuits and are not too heavy to carry at only 900g. It should be noted that they are not a waterproof model so should be protected in wet weather. These are a good solid (not cheap) pair as my uncle wouldnt have bought them otherwise.
