Meade LXD55 Autostar Goto German Equatorial Mount for sale.
This is the Meade version of the Vixen GP clones (Skywatcher EQ5 Pro synscan / Celestron CG5 GT etc)
It is in good working order with a new autostar handset I purchased from the States with the latest firmware. It also has a brand new tripod.
This will align and automatically goto and track celestial objects and it can be connected to a computer and controlled with applications such as Stellarium.
They are basically an EQ5 mount with the same carrying capacity etc. They are often bundled with a range of scopes up to a 10″ Schmidt Newtonian Telescope. (I personally think this is too heavy for imaging use but OK for visual)
Overall in very good condition with normal signs of use as expected.
Collection is welcome from Cirencester or I might be able to drop off or meet somewhere along the M4 between Swindon and Heathrow as I travel most weeks abroad.
Alternatively I can box up and post at cost. I estimate about 20 as it will likely need to be in 2 packages or you can arrange your own courier collection.
