Meade ETX-70 Refractor Telescope

I have always had an interest in Astronomy and still have!  A number of years ago I decided to buy this item on Ebay for my birthday.  During the time I have owned it, I have ONLY used it once and have had the box open only a handful of times.  None of my friends were interested either so it has been neglected, although well stored!

When I did set it up, the motors were working, as the telescope was moving all over the place by itself.  However, the screen on the handset was a little fuzzy from memory but still legible. All the photos show you what items come with the telescope – I’m afraid I don’t even know what the parts are called otherwise I would list them here.  The one time I did use it, I managed to snap one of the locks on the tripod (typical!) – completely by accident, but am sure you can get a basic tripod cheaply, or figure out a way of using this one? You will also get a battery charger and 6 x rechargeable AA batteries.

When I bought it, it didn’t come with a manual but they are downloadable online for free.  

Hopefully, the buyer will know what they are doing and will get some use out of it! Alternatively, maybe someone who needs it for spares? Currently, it is just gathering dust and I need to make room as I am having building works starting shortly, so need it sold!  

I am starting this listing at 35 only without a reserve on it but have a buy it now price of 75, and have given as honest a description of the product along with condition as possible.
