ETX125 is the 125mm apperture diameter of this Maksutov Cassegrain from Meade. It is the PE edition with Level North technology and Smart Finder. In very good condition optically and physically. The coatings are there in very good order going by the deep blue/plum reflections and no scratches on mirror or corrector plate visible. I’ve tried to include ample photos so it can speak for itself.
I’m including a high quality Skywatcher 25mm Plossl and a 17.5mm Plossl. Includes the steel extendable field trpod with 2″ thick legs and rubber feet grips.
2 minor issues that do not affect function but reflected in price:
1. I’ve swapped a 8 way modified network cable in place of coiled cable. That needs fixing wires back in place. Can include for buyer.
2. The left Dec knob shown requires new screw though Dec disk stays in place. Not major as the right knob is the clutch that controls slew.
The ETX125 is rare to find these on classifieds these days. For that reason, I’ve been holding on to it for sentimental value more than anything. Not getting any use for busy lifestyle. I’m not going to ship it simply because it is heavy and I’m not confident to package so as not to incur any damage on transit.
