For sale here is my Meade LT 6″ ACF telescope. I’ve owned this excellent scope for the past three years and it has been an absolute joy to use as an amateur. For some reason it is badged as an ‘ETX LS ACF’ and even has the housing for the ECLIPS module but no CCD. As such it needs to be aligned by using the Easy Align process – but don’t let this put you off as it really is as simple as picking out two recognisable stars and letting the computer do the rest. Once set-up the AudioStar controller gives you access to a go-to database of over 30,000 celestial objects including tours and nightly ‘best of’ selections. The scope itself is equally at home with deep sky objects, I was able to locate and observe the supernova SN 2014J with ease, but where it really excels is planetary observation – Jupiter is quite literally breathtaking.
