Pictured above is this very telescope under Venus and Mars.  This is the Bresser SkyLux Astronomical High Performance Telescope model number 890, 70/700 (70mm aperture and 700mm focal length), manufactured by the world leading brand Meade.  It is a refractor and is perfect as a serious beginner’s scope.

It has an achromatic lens and comes with three eyepieces of different magnifications (35x-175x).  This allows you to study nebula, galaxies, the planets and close up views of our moon.  The set includes a 6×30 viewfinder / spotting scope, a diagonal mirror for ease of viewing, an image reversing lens for land observation, an adjustable aluminium tripod with equatorial mount, astronomy software CD, colour instruction manual and Bresser moon map.  All covers, screws, nuts and bolts, lens caps and packaging is included too, making the set 100% complete.

It is possible to use a motor with this scope, as the gear is there for one, however no motor is included as it is an optional extra.  The telescope has been used very rarely and is in good used condition, with slight cosmetic damage on the metal mount, e.g. small area of paint missing.  Everything is fully functional.  Smudges in the photos is condensation on the barrel from the brief period it was outside for the photo (cold!).  The telescope was cleaned prior to packing.

I am also including two beautiful, attractive and high quality astronomy posters, The Moon & The Night Sky.  They are educational and decorative.  These posters have information overlaid on reproductions of paintings, which are expertly done, making the posters more artistic than the usual graphic designs.  Both are high street purchased and out of print, measuring 70cm x 50cm.  The posters are in used condition, put up with white tac, so slight discolouration in edges of corners, the condition and imagery is otherwise excellent.  The posters will be sent rolled in a cardboard tube.
