Part of my optics collection that I am slowly whittling down

The bulk of which was sold last autumn. 

Leica Trinovid 8×20 BC

These were purchased several years ago used. I have never taken them outside, they were simply part of my optics collection. 

The leather case, which although is genuine leica I’m not sure if it’s the correct case for these binoculars? It was purchased several months after the binoculars. However, regardless the binoculars fit the case well, not to tight so as to be a struggle to insert or retrieve, but close fitting enough to prevent them bouncing around inside…..perfect in my view.

I’ve just checked the optics, a few bits of dust that my blower won’t blow off, I’m reluctant to clean these with my lens cloth, to be honest I don’t like touching optics if I can’t blow it off I generally leave alone. It makes no difference to the view in my experiance. 

The collimation appears spot on, the pop up eye cups move with German precision. The focusing is smooth but firm. Absolutely no sloppy movements in any of the articulated joints. The leather covering is intact with no lifting. 

All in all a perfectly good pair of  binoculars, an ideal companion for the travelling connoisseur.
