Some Details:The PROMINAR XD-lensesThe XD44-10.5 have four PROMINAR XD-lenses. The paired convex lenses are made of glass with special dispersion properties to reduce chromatic aberration to a further, not distinguishable degree. This advanced technology creates a bright image with high contrast and outstanding color reproduction. The optical performance of the PROMINAR 10.5×44 cannot be duplicated or reached by a normal achromatic lens.
Highly reflective Roof PrismsThe new XD44 roof prisms provide a broad field and an enormous sharpness at the range with minimal lost of light.The roof prism allows a nearly total reflectance which in combination with the Kowa C coating gives an absolutely outstanding viewing pleasure.
Phase-coated Roof PrismsAs a matter of course in this Performance class, the roof prisms are phase-coated to ensure sharp images and outstanding contrast.
Magnesium alloy body filled with nitrogen gasThe magnesium alloy body decreases the weight of the binocular while providing a rugged structure that can withstand the severest conditions. Self-evident that the glas is filled with nitrogen gas to prohibit inside fogging of the lenses.
Close focus down to 1.7 metersThe very short focusing of 1.7 meters makes the PROMINAR 44 as an excellent choice for a close range observation of plants, animals or insects.
