Konus telescopes are Italian-made precision optical instruments.

This telescope is barely used. Nice and compact. Can also be used as a spotting scope.

Amateur astronomers sometimes quote this simple rule of thumb:

‘How often you take out a telescope is proportional to how light it is’

Lazy as it may seem, I manage to observe Venus and Jupiter during the summer through the Konus opening a living room window.

Hence, the item is in excellent condition optically and physically.

Included for sale along with the telescope:

-Dovetail mounting shoe, 45 degree prism,

-17mm Plossl eyepiece,

-M5 screws to connect to mounting rings or directly to an EQ1 or EQ2 tripod.

The telescope build is similar to the Meade ETX90 with rear flip mirror which is an internal diagonal.

Astronomy forums review the Konus MotorMax 90 to perform as good as the Meade ETX90.

The Konus Motormax 90 retails for over 400.

In this case, an observing platform with a suitable tripod can be built up for far less than a Meade.
